Perfumes & Potions
I’m fairly new to perfumes, body oils, and similar self-care products. For the longest time I told others I just wasn’t into these things, but really, I didn’t think I deserved them for some bizarre reason, as if little acts of tending to yourself had to be earned.
I’ve never tended to frequent the sort of stores that gave away free samples of these things, though with more people selling small products online and offering sample sizes, I’ve started trying new things a bit more.
Body Oil by The Poison Garden
Unwrapping something from S.A. Lawless always makes me feel like I’m treating myself and honoring my path. Her research and depth of knowledge in the plants she uses to make each of her products (not just this body oil, which I adore) makes me feel in safe hands.
I have particularly dry skin, and since starting to use this my skin feels much less tight and painful.

Ancient Pines Body Butter by Roots and Marrow
If you’re tired of smelling like vanilla and want something a little wilder, a little mysterious, then consider smelling like a forest.
This body butter is a whipped beef tallow, and its scent is a mix of white pine, labdanum, and frankincense. I like to apply this as a base under all my perfumes.

Campfire Perfume by Firebird
Firebird’s Campire was the first perfume I truly fell in love with.
This perfume does skew sweet, but comes paired with wood smoke and something like graham crackers to pair with the marshmallow.
